Control Room almost finished....

So, after months of working to finish up the control room, it's finally coming to an end. The room is complete except for a few acoustical treatments. The Trent Fox & the Tenants stuff turned out great. You can hear some early mixes here: http://www.myspace.com/tenantsmke

Control room is coming to an end...

So, it's been a while! Let's see, where am I? Well, the control room is almost finished. Crazy! I've spent the last couple of months going at this room hard. I am very pleased with the results. This room is almost done. I'll be getting in there today to paint the floor and begin my acoustical treatment. I'll get some more pics up soon and start my live room. Enjoy.

More insulation up!

Before I leave for a handful of days, I managed to get some more insulation up on the exterior wall for the control. When I return next week I should be able to get some more drywall up and finally get the control room together.... I'll be outta town but back in Milwaukee on the 30th... Here's a shot of the newly insulated wall from what become the live room eventually....

I just lost my job!

Haha, so funny. I've sort of been thinking about how great it would be to get let go so I can focus on what's really important at this time in my life and it happened. They let me go at my job yesterday. I feel great about it. I have my studio to work on and now I have all the free time in the world to spending doing what really matters.

Anyways, I finally finished adding all the joint compound and sa

nding down the workstation area. I have a session on Sunday and have it all cleaned up and ready to go. I hope to get some more drywall over there asap and finish up the control room area. Without a job I have lots of time but I also hope t

o find a way to have the funds needed to continue working on this project. I know it will work out for me because everything is going great.

Slowly but surely...

It's slowly coming together, one piece at a time. It's a lot of work for one man... sometimes by buddy Lee makes it over to give me a few other hands to work with.

I have been able to get all the drywall and compound up for my workstation area. I still have to drywall and insulate the rest of this room but at least I am making progress.

Control room drywall... up and up and up...

Over the weekend I was able to pull a few lights and power outlets from my ass and put them in the control room. Now I have two, 4 outlet boxes for my gear and 4 bright can lights to shine down on my desk when I need to get serious about cables. 10 sheets of drywall went up! Shit, that went fast. I need more drywall to finish off this room but at least the structure I built is mostly finished. The rest will be a breeze.

Outlets and......

So I got some new outlets installed... and they work, that's good. I also installed some can lights in the partial ceiling. Got some drywall up and will finish off this room soon. Lovin' it.
